FPS Choke
Whenever I leave my computer on for a long period of time, I get horrible FPS on all my games I play, which includes CSS and GW.
For example, I'll turn on my computer in the morning, check mail, go to my classes, come back to my dorm, and hop onto Guild Wars. BAM! I get around 40fps, textures [especially terrain] start fading in and out, and everything just seems slow.
I don't think it's a heating issue, for I can simply reset my computer and hop onto GW or CSS with great FPS.
It may have something to do with ReForce, even though I disabled it.
I tried turning off my screen saver, and, for some reason it, it seems to solve the problem.
Any ideas? Could it be my monitor?
I am running a nVidia 6600GT Leadtek Graphics Card on 1GB of RAM and an 2.0Ghz Athlon 64.
